Established yards and steady debris
Mature trees and full landscaping are part of Plantation's character, and they put leaves, flowers and fine organic matter into pools every week of the year. Left in the water, that material uses up chlorine and settles into corners and steps where algae gets its start.
Emptying the skimmer and pump baskets, skimming the surface and vacuuming the floor every week keeps the filter from being overloaded and keeps sanitizer working on the water instead of on debris.
